INKBLOT#2
This is my self-portrait, and a portrait of you. Images like Rorschach test bring many language related desires, various expressions, and discoveries of other persons. However, this is only a minute movement produced by Indian ink and salt in the macro world. This accidental accumulation brought by the repetitive procedure of multiplex filmimg is an observation of particles, as well as an observation of where semantics is born.

Lens on Lens
The exploration about "Observation" with four lenses, "eye" on "camera" on "close up lens" on "Icicle".

a sea of words
g The subtitles in unknown languageh and gthe image of a seah. It is an exploration of the relation between the language as a sign and the image in the video. |

Reminiscence
Suddenly "a piece of a memory" emerges in mind without any connection, jumping over time and space. And I remember the "memory" repeatedly and remember that I remembered "a memory". Then, the memory that " I remembered a memory" are piled up with many layers in mind rather than original memory, and the original itself becomes unreliable at all. In order not to make "the original" to unreliable memory, by daring to repeat "a recalling (taking a picture and projecting it)" many times, I aimed to leave the "Memories" into a film as happening "New event" between "a recalling" and "a recalling".

Flower
Transforming pools of india ink and salt into a microscopic field overflowing with brilliant shards of light and color.

Lines toward the Sunset
You can see the scenery from the window of the train as a moving outline image of monochrome. And then, by approaching the setting sun you can see the color of light. This is the short film about the train which runs along the sea toward the setting sun in summer

SCENERY / DISTANCE
gWhat do you see beyond the layer of moving light?h By shooting various flowing several times with multiple exposures, the trace of flows turn into piled lights and come out in the film. ----Faint light and sudden darkness, collision and strain, instant falling of scale and the pause of time ---. By the action of viewing alone, you may be able to understand the meaning of grepetition of these generation and disappearanceh in this film.

Field
Constant flows making various forms, the power behind themc.I aimed to express only the beauty and the power of the light in the flowing. |

Inside
I tried to give some psychology effects to the audience by changing of the face expression. Without using language information, I tried to lead audiences to feel the skin, film, etc by the warped changing face. Then
I aimed to remind them of "the inside" of mind. Without using language information, I tried to lead audiences to feel the skin,
film, etc by the warped changing face. Then I aimed to remind them of "the inside" of mind.
As for techniques, I sketched the face in black single color planarly on elastic cloth, and made the cloth nudged with a finger
from the back, to warp the face. As a result, though "cloth" is only "cloth", and though "a picture of the faces" is only "a picture
of the faces", "a sketch" will not be recognized as a simple "sketch", by the strange moving of the face on the cloth.

BABAKU
Group Exhibition
FAUXMOUVEMENT
( Metz , France )2005
Silica
Group Exhibition ( art space kimura ASK?^Tokyo ) 2004
"CILICA and BABAKU" are experiments to present the relation between "the images" and "the image created
by the space" as the relation between the space and the materialness. I tried to tie the images to "the space
of the real material", by the suggestion about the "Moving and Light" that images had originally, and I also
tried to make them coexisting.

If you stand in the presence of this work, you will notice the desire in yourself, which starts naming something. However, the desire keeps being roused and is eternally floating.
